Furniture must have personality. It must be visually stimulating from any direction. Timeless functional forms built with imagination, curiosity, common sense, and a deep respect for the material.

Striving for simplicity, I'm fascinated by how complex simplicity really is. Many hours can be spent staring at a seemingly simple slab, studying the grain in search of its character. I believe wood has a soul and a voice. A board already knows what it wants to be; it just needs someone with the desire, patience and a skilled pair of hands to bring it back to life.

For me, there is nothing more gratifying than allowing the figure of a board to dictate its design.
